Welcome to the Dead Beat Project’s Biography page. The Dead Beat Project was put together as a side project during the summer of 2005 by keyboardist, producer, DJ, classically trained Olivier Goyet while on tour with his other band, the legendary cult Funeral Doom band Esoteric (UK). Some tracks were put together during that tour (and further more in the monthes to come) but somehow they did not fit in the Esoteric frame, and Olivier felt that they had to come out under a separate umbrella; hence Dead Beat Project was born. The Dead Beat Project is a field of expression allowing Olivier to explore slow and overpowering minimal styles merging together electronic music, industrial, ambient, classical, trip hop, break beat and a lot more of eclectic genres. At this stage this project is solely a studio project, and no live performance are planned in the near future but collaborations with eventual VJs or other producers would be more than welcome
